Our Custom swing-arm which we have designed for maximum rigidity, replaces the original unit on the bike.
We also include a “Watts linkage” as standard equipment for the “Razorback” model, this setup assists greatly in eliminating stress on the swing-arm and frame roll on cornering, thereby improving handling and stability.
We retain the OEM rear air-shocks and provide an option of an ‘onboard compressor’ with air bleed. This option allows the rider to adjust the ride comfort of the trike whilst on the move.
We fabricate our own custom solid differential, incorporating Ford car differential components in our own housing to provide for a strong, lightweight, and virtually maintenance free assembly.
We prefer to use chain diff units, as chains offer advantages over belts, ie:
a) We increase the length of the wheelbase (to improve handling) which requires special belts that are difficult to source, and expensive
b) Belt width negatively influences the design of the Differential unit
c) No need to remove the primary drive assembly and split the diff assembly, if the belt breaks and / or needs replacing
d) Savings in both time and chain cost’s when replacing.

Designed to mount the body and accessories onto, it fits over the rear of the motorcycle frame to existing mount points and brackets without any modifications.

Hi –Performance 11” Ford car disc brakes with mechanical handbrake option, (if your vehicle law’s require) The stock rear brake master cylinder works great with this brake setup.
Diff mounted, we use a high torque gear reduction starter motor, which moves a loaded trike easily with the original bike battery (provided it is in good condition)

The stock triple tree / fork yoke assembly is designed with (trail) to allow / assist the bike to turn when leaned , this of course becomes a problem when converting to a trike as this feature creates the side effects of ‘Head Shake‘ and heavy steering.
Comet Trikes produce a custom Triple Tree kit to improve rider control and stability. This kit modifies the fork leg angle (reduces trail), moving the front wheel forward, thus eliminating head shake and reducing the steering effort to turn the trike, while making the steering more responsive and stable.
Our kit is designed to accept / mount all standard Harley Davidson hardware and fitments.
We have designed our conversion kits so that installation can be achieved without any modification to the Donor motorcycle frame, it's simple (provided you have the necessary tools) and can be completed within an acceptable amount of time.
Conversely it can be returned to it’s original two wheel state.
Starting with Computer Aided Design (CAD) for accurate detail , design parameters, and stress analysis, we engineer our product to perfection.
All structural components are CNC machined, set up in jigs and TIG welded for accuracy and strength.
We construct all our Body’s, fenders, saddlebags using hand laid, reinforced high strength fiberglass composite (GRP) to maintain an acceptable weight, strength, and quality.
